Rockpool Bar & Grill Sydney is Australia’s most beautiful dining room. Situated in the sensational City Mutual Building, a 1936 Emil Sodersteen-designed American style art deco skyscraper, the dining style is simple and uncomplicated – perfectly wood fire-grilled meats and seafood from Australia’s very best producers – a perfect match to what is Australia’s greatest wine list.

Payment
We accept all major credit cards (including UnionPay) and Eftpos. Credit cards incur a processing fee of 1.9% to 2.7%. Debit card fees are 0.95%. EFTPOS no charge. ‘Tap and Go’ incurs debit/credit card fee. External payment Apps incur additional fees. 10% discretionary service charge applies to all groups of 6+. 10% surcharge applies on Sundays, 15% on public holidays. We accept Good Food Gift Cards & Gourmet Traveller Gift Cards.
Food
Our beef is sourced directly from the producers and dry aged on our premises. The dry ageing process is important as it brings a better flavour to the beef than that of the more common wet aging in cryovac, which in essence is really preserving the beef. This however takes a big commitment as we have many tonnes of beef ageing at any one time. We believe that the types of beef we have are representative of the best of their type in Australia. Blackmore’s Wagyu and Cape Grim grass fed beef fit into the strict Rockpool philosophy of humane treatment of the cattle. There are no growth hormones used and no antibiotic feed supplements. This is a rare thing in Australia today, particularly with the standard lot fed cattle.

The bar at Rockpool Bar & Grill is the perfect venue for a pre or post lunch or dinner drink or for a casual bite to eat. With a no bookings policy, a fantastic bar menu and a cocktail and wine list second to none, it is ideal for those impromptu moments.
Wine
Rockpool Bar & Grill Sydney has an extensive wine list with over 3,000 wines, a full bar of spirits and a selection of bottled beers. You may pre-select from our functions wine list provided or alternatively our Sommelier team will be happy to liaise with you regarding your beverage choices from our full wine list.

From the elegant private dining rooms located within the restaurant, an impressive offsite space and private catering, Rockpool Bar & Grill offers a wide selection of Private Dining experiences tailored just for you.
From The Balcony overlooking the main dining room, The Bligh with its leafy outlook, The Hunter taking in bustling city views, The Mezzanine adjacent to the main dining room and for more intimate occasions, The Boardroom. For larger scale events, Rockpool Private brings the Rockpool Bar & Grill experience to you.
Reservations
We accept bookings online for all main dining reservations, for bookings of 2 to 12 guests. Our system is live and will show availability in real time. Cancellations will show up on our online system, so we recommend checking intermittently if you are looking for a specific time.
Please be aware we do not take bookings for the bar at Rockpool Bar & Grill and reservations apply only to restaurant tables.
Dress Code
Our dress code is smart. Rockpool Bar & Grill does not admit guests dressed in sportswear or over casual clothing such as, hats, singlets, shorts, gym tights, AND running shoes.
Group Bookings
