We accept payment using all major credit cards (including UnionPay) and Eftpos. Please note all credit cards incur a processing fee of 1.0% to 1.5%. Debit card fees are 0.5% to 1.0%. EFTPOS no charge. ‘Tap and Go’ incurs debit/credit card fee. External payment Apps incur additional fees. 10% discretionary service charge applies to all groups of 8+. 10% surcharge applies on Sundays, 15% on public holidays, 5% service fee applies Monday to Saturday. We accept Good Food Gift Cards & Gourmet Traveller Gift Cards.

Food
Our beef is sourced directly from the producers and dry aged on our premises. The dry ageing process is important as it brings a better flavour to the beef than that of the more common wet aging in cryovac, which in essence is really preserving the beef. This however takes a big commitment as we have many tonnes of beef ageing at any one time. We believe that the three types of beef we have are representative of the best of their type in Australia. Blackmore’s Wagyu, Cape Grim and Minderoo all fit into the strict Rockpool philosophy of humane treatment to the cattle. There are no growth hormones used and no antibiotic feed supplements. This is a rare thing in Australia today, particularly with the standard lot fed cattle.
Wine
The wine list at Rockpool Bar & Grill Melbourne showcases a selection from a mix of vineyards. Some are small, unknown producers whom we feel lucky to have come across whilst others are bigger with bold reputations and wines that are highly prized all over the world. What we search for in creating this offering are wines that reflect the people who make them and the land they are raised from.
Private Dining
Rockpool Bar & Grill Melbourne’s private dining spaces offer a range of sophisticated experiences for diners, from views overlooking the Yarra River and Melbourne City Skyline with tasting menus, to a small and intimate gathering immersed in a classic setting with high ceilings, an impressive contemporary chandelier and a large boardroom style table that stretches the length of the room.
Choose from one of our bespoke set menus which feature some of Rockpool Bar & Grill’s favourites and have our wine team recommend the perfect pairing for your special event.
We can offer the full a la carte menu to small parties of 14 guests or less.
Reservations
We accept bookings online for all main dining reservations, our system is live and will show availability in real time. Cancellations will show up on our online system, so we recommend checking intermittently if you are looking for a specific time.
We require a $100 per person minimum spend for all reservations. Credit card details are required for all bookings. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the reservation time will result in a $50 per person charge as a no-show fee. A discretionary 10% service fee is applied to the final bill for groups of 8 guests or more.
Dress Code
Our dress code is smart. Rockpool Bar & Grill does not admit guests dressed in sportswear or over casual clothing such as hats, singlets, shorts, gym tights, running shoes
